The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is an autonomous public business school established in 1963 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India IIFT was conferred the status of Deemed University in 2002.
The institute has signed MOUs with international organisations and institutes for mutual exchange of students and teachers in the area of International Trade and Business. These include Kent State University (Ohio), Deakin University (Australia) and International Business School (America), among others. Also, it consistently participates in all the collaborative initiates taken by such organisations. It is currently a member of the following international organisations:
